Description | Folio 382. Letter from the Poor Law Commission to Mr P Saunders, 5 Crescent Minories, London, acknowledging his letter of the 12 November 1836 regarding the payment of Poll Tax at Quebec for the immigrants on the Allendah and Albion. A copy of his letter will be forwarded to the board of guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union. The Commission feel that the Guardians will be fully justified in declining to answer to the demand for reimbursement. Paper Number: 5333/A/1836. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk. |
