Description Folios 300-301. Letter from John Smith, Arbitrator and Accountant, of Commerce Court, Lord Street, Liverpool to M T Baines, MP, [President of the Poor Law Board]. He states his opinion that Mr Evans, Governor of the Liverpool Workhouse, has been treated unfairly by the select vestry during his recent illnesses.
