Description | Folio 31. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to [Thomas Watkins], Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, regarding appointment of collector. Referring to Watkins' letter of 6 February and stating that no letter dated 4 July 1850 had been received referring to the appointment of a collector of poor rates for the parish of Llandaff. The Board explains that the order of the 12 November 1838 enables the union to appoint another collector to replace John Pride, dismissed, and, when made, it should be reported to the Board. Paper Number: 8251/1851. Poor Law Union Number 613. Counties: Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire. |
