Description | Folio 38. Draft letter from R W Grey of the Poor Law Board to [Thomas Watkins], Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, regarding sale produce. Referring to Watkins' letter of 14 February on the subject of property at Penmark, the Board requests to be informed as to how much is owing by the parish in respect of the following workhouse loans which have been advanced to the guardians by the Exchequer Bill Loan [Councils], namely: £5,000 advanced in 1838, £2,000 in 1839 and £800 in 1848. Paper Number: 9171/1851. Poor Law Union Number 613. Counties: Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire. |
