Description | Folio 247. Letter from Edward Jenkins, Vicar of Llanedarne near Cardiff, to the Poor Law Board, stating that the parishioners cannot agree amongst themselves to the valuation of the parish for the payment of poor rates. He asks the Board to order a revaluation or to allow the parishioners to appoint a man to do this. Annotated: no previous order. Explain to the writer the procedure to procure a valuation and that such authority rests with the guardians. Paper Number: 9835/1852. Poor Law Union Number 613. Counties: Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire. |
