Description | Folio 284. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to Mr Ralph Ord, Overseer of the Poor, St Mellons, Cardiff Poor Law Union, acknowledging the receipt of his letter of the 8 May 1852 and enclosing a copy of the Act 5& 6 Wm IV c 69 s 3 of which will be seen that the board of guardians of the Cardiff Union are the parties who are authorised to sell the poor house of the parish of St Mellons. The Board also enclose a set of forms to be observed in making application to them for their consent to the sale of the property. These forms duly filled up and signed should be returned to this office through the clerk to the board of guardians, when the Poor Law Board will give such directions as may appear necessary [not included].
