Description | Folio 388. Letter from T Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, in reply to their letter of November 12, stating that the reason Miss Adams resigned from the post of Schoolmistress of the Cardiff Poor Law Union Workhouse School was that she refused to be examined by Her Majesty's Inspector of Schools and there was an unfavourable report of the girls' school. Annotated: request the overseers report the appointment of the replacement schoolmistress as soon as made; write accordingly. Paper Number: 43756/1852. Poor Law Union Number 613.
