Description | Folio 472. Letter from T Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, giving reasons for the suspension from office of William Lewis, Collector of the parish of Whitchurch: neglect of the orders of the guardians and general inattention to duties. He was late in payments to the treasurer for the Common Fund to the point where legal proceedings had to be instituted against the overseers. Annotated: that a copy should be sent to the collector and an explanation requested. Paper Number: 10827/1853. Poor Law Union Number 613. Counties: Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire. |
