Description | Folio 62. Letter from J Riley, Auditor, Papplewick, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the audit accounts of the Basford Poor Law Union for the quarter ending 25 December 1840. It mentions Mr Woolley, [Wooley], late Relieving Officer. Also, the medical officer for the Arnold District, who does not live in the district and has not attended the paupers for several weeks. The auditor has informed the board of guardians of this matter. Annotated: to thank the auditor for the measures he has taken, signed E Senior [Edward Senior, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner].
