Description | Folios 384-385. Letter from William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, forwarding a list of the parishes in arrears. He includes a breakdown of the various sums owing. He states that the parish officers for Annesley, Arnold, Basford, Beeston, Eastwood, Greasley and Carlton have repeatedly been summoned. Enclosed is the list of the sums due for the following parishes: First District: Annesley, Codnor, Codnor Park, Eastwood, Felley, Greasley, Heanor, Kirkby and Selston. Second District: Arnold, Bulwell, Calverton, Hucknall, Lambley, Linby, Newstead, Papplewick and Woodborough. Third District: Basford, Bilborough, Cossall, Ilkestone, Nuthall, Shipley, Strelley, Trowell and Wollaton. Forth District: Barton, Beeston, Bridgeford, Bradmore, Bunny, Burton, Carlton, Clifton, Colwick, Gamston, Gedling, Gotham, Ruddington, Stoke, Thrumpton and Wilford.
