Description | Folios 402-403. Letter from Edward Senior, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner, to the Poor Law Commission. He states that Mr Norman, late Medical Officer of the Ilkeston District in the Basford Poor Law Union, registered two deaths from want. Senior reported on this and sent evidence taken by the guardians. This proved that Norman has acted with 'great impropriety' and he was censured in consequence of the investigation. Under these circumstances Senior does not think Norman has a claim to be remunerated for his loss of time. Paper Number: 5613/B/1841. See also: 5376/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
