Description Folio 431. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, acknowledging his letter of 4 June regarding out relief given to John Roe and family. They sanction the relief already given but if Roe continues to be out of work the guardians should offer the workhouse, in which they believe there is ample room. Paper Number: 6669/B/1841.
