Description | Folio 457. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union. They acknowledge receipt of his letter of the 13 July and state that when the order for the sale of the Greasley parish property is issued the guardians will be able to 'dispose of the property to Messrs Shiply by private contract as proposed'. They forward a copy of an order issued to the parish officers to hold a meeting of rate payers and owners to consent to the sale [not included]. Annotated: sale meeting order issued. Paper Number: 7870/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
