Description | Folios 541-542. Letter from William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission regarding the appointment of medical officers. They have appointed the following: James John Ratcliffe to Arnold, salary £30 per annum. Mr Mason to Calverton, Lambley and Woodborough, salary £30 per annum. Thomas Lightfoot MD to Barton, Bunny, Bridgford, Bradmore, Clifton, Gamston, Gotham, Ruddington, Thrumpton and Wilford, salary £45 per annum. The guardians ask for the approval of the appointments. Annotated: send the usual forms relating to the appointment of Mr Mason and Dr Lightfoot. Paper Number: 9774/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
