Description | Folio 545. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Mr Morley, Surgeon of Basford, Nottingham, with reference to his letter of 2 September, they have made enquiries of the board of governors of the Basford Poor Law Union regarding the proposed discontinuation of his services as vaccinator for the Basford District and have learned that the guardians consider it in-commercial to have two medical gentlemen attending the union workhouse. Presuming that the contract contains the usual stipulations that either side may terminate the agreement on twenty eight days the Commission sees no grounds to interfere with the decision of the board. Although they regret that Mr Morley anticipates that the decision may have consequences on his practice. Paper Number: 9774/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
