Description | Folios 639-640. Letter from William Ashton, Secretary to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, accompanying an application form for a survey and valuation of the Basford parish. Enclosed is the application from George Farrend, Chairman, on behalf of the guardians, to the Poor Law Commission, requesting them to order a new map and valuation of the parish so they can levy a fair and correct rate. He states that the parish is ready to enter into the necessary contracts. Annotated: request amended declaration. 20 November Paper Number: 11907/B/1841 Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
