Description Folios 643-644. Letter from William Ashton to the Poor Law Commission enclosing a list names of the able bodied given relief on 16 November 1841 for the approval of the Commission. These are: Jonathan Hawkin, Lace Maker, no work; Lydia Hawkin [wife], and 4 children under 6 years of age. John Bellaby, Bleacher, no work; Mary Bellaby and Ann Bellaby [daughters]. John Oscroft, FWK [Framework Knitter], no work, Mary Oscroft [his wife] and 6 children. William White FWK [Framework Knitter], no work for all, Elizabeth White, [his wife], FWK; Jane White FWK; Ann White FWK; Hannah white FWK, [daughters]. Settlement, St Mary's, Nottingham. William Williamson, Framesmith, no work; Rebecca Williamson; Seamstress, Mary Williamson [----- bobbins]; Emma Williamson, mends lace, and 5 other children. [John Boetby]; Nottingham, FWK [Framework Knitter], no work for all [Ann Boetby], his wife, Seamstress; [Mary Boetby], [John Boetby] and 4 other children. William Clifford, FWK [Framework Knitter], no work, wife and 6 children. Samuel Spray, FWK [Framework Knitter], no work; Ann Spray, his wife, Seamstress; Mary Spray, works in a mill, and 2 children.
