Description | Folios 646-647. Letter from William Ashton, Secretary to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, reporting on an application for a summons to the Nottingham and Derby Magistrates Court. The application is against [Codnor and Heaton] for a bill paid by the union officials. He refers to a letter from the overseer of Beeston, a copy of which is at the bottom of the page. Copy of letter from John Oldham, Assistant Overseer, Beeston, stating he was instructed by magistrates not to pay any more money for the time being to the treasurer. Paper Number: 12130/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
