Description | Folios 20-27. Forms of appointment of medical officers sent from Thomas Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. He encloses for approval the appointment forms for: Evan Edwards of Caerphilly as Medical Officer for the Caerphilly District. The form shows Edwards has been appointed from the commencement of the union on 6 October 1836. The salary to be £40 per annum. Edward Evans of Cardiff as Medical Officer for the Landaff [Llandaff] District. The form shows Evans has been appointed from 16 May 1840. The salary to be £40 per annum. The post became vacant on the establishment of a new district. James Lewis of Cardiff as Medical Officer for the Cardiff District. The form shows Lewis has been appointed from the commencement of the union on 6 October 1836. The salary to be £55 per annum. Evan Davies of Newbridge as Medical Officer for the Lantrissent [LLantrisant] District. The form shows Edwards has been appointed from the commencement of the union on 6 October 1836.
