Description | Folio 274. Draft Letter from the Poor Law Commission to Thomas Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, acknowledging the letter of the 3 February 1845 on the subject of the balance due from the Cardiff Poor Law Union to the treasurer. Requesting to know under what act the overseers were summonsed. Referring them to the provisions of the 2& 3 Vic c 84 s 1 and the 63rd return of the 7& 8 Vic c 107 which provide for enforcement of the calls made by the board of guardians for contributions to the [union funds].
