Description | Folio 346. Letter from Thomas Watkins, Clerk to the Guardians of the Cardiff Poor Law Union, to Poor Law Commission, answering their letter of the 26 July 1845 respecting the pauper named David Llewellin David Llewellin is 75 years old and his wife is 81 and it was right to allow them to return to the place where they had lived for the last 20 years or more, where they were known and would get sympathy and assistance. They allowed relief not exceeding what it would cost to keep them in the workhouse. The union will supply them with acknowledgement that they belong to this union to prevent them being punished under the vagrant act. Paper Number: 11014/B/1845. Poor Law Union Number 613.
