Description | Folios 22-23. Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, regarding the appointment of Miss Margaret Owen as Schoolmistress to the workhouse at a salary of £10 per annum. Duties to include teaching boys and girls and to assist the master and matron in the performance of their duties and other duties as required by the orders rules and regulations of the Poor Law Commissioners. Appointment is subject to the Poor Law Commissioners sanction and approval. Annotated: draft letter from the Commission to Day asking for the age of Miss Owen appointed as Schoolmistress by Bromsgrove Guardians. Paper Number: 1952/C/1839. Poor Law Union Number 526.
