Description | Folio 245. Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, reporting the guardians meeting of 23 March 1840 and seeking approval of the appointment of Medical Officers. Appointments were Thomas S Fletcher for Bromsgrove District including the workhouse at a salary of £90. Alexander Pratt for Tardebigg District at a salary of £50. Jonathan L Hobbes for Bellbroughton [Belbroughton]and Hagley District at a salary of £50. Annotated: appointments and salaries sanctioned. Paper Number: 3789/B/1840. Poor Law Union Number 526.
