Description | Folio 303. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, headed 'Relating to Form of Workhouse Order'. They enclose [not included] the order for the further borrowing of £350 to complete the workhouse. Details as to the manner in which it should be completed are given and in particular their attention is drawn to the average rate. No monies can legally be expended on furniture or fixtures. These must be paid for from the Establishment Fund. Paper Number: 6233/B/1840. Poor Law Union Number 526. Counties: Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire. |
