Description | Folio 218. Letter from the guardians of Milton Keynes and Ravenstone parishes to the Poor Law Commission, concerning a charity belonging to the parishes namely alms houses, to which they have subscribed a weekly sum, and unless they continue to do this, shall be excluded from the profit from it and therefore write to ask if they can continue to [fund] it in the parish expenditure as they have done or in what way they can continue. The letter is signed G Payne, Guardian of the parish of Milton Keynes and William Godfrey, Guardian of the parish of Ravenstone. Annotated: write to the board of guardians for information as to this statement and their opinion as to the course they would think it is desirable to pursue. Paper Number: 1341/A/1836. |
