Description | Folios 436-437. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, to Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, referring to their letter of 16 September, and stating that the union has contracted with Richard Hayward of Thorpe Malsor near Kettering [Northamptonshire] to make a valuation of rateable property in Newport Pagnell parish for the sum of £85 and to complete the survey by January 8 1838.
