Description | Folio 225. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to John Dobede Taylor, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bishops Stortford Poor Law Board of Guardians, on the subject of the appointment of George Barker as relieving officer for the Albury district. The Commission advise that following confirmation from the board of guardians that Barker has performed his duties efficiently they sanction his appointment with a salary of £80 per annum. Paper Number: 15930/A/1847. Poor Law Union Number 167. Counties: Hertfordshire and Essex. |
