Description | Draft letter. Admiralty see no objection to appointing Samuel Hood of Bridport as an Inspector of the canvas, supplied for naval use, at a salary of £750 pa. From his establishment he is to give up his business interest in manufacturing and dealing in canvas, live in or near London and receive no traveling expenses unless involving distant journeys. Do not feel authorized to enter into suggested pension provision as this would depend on the circumstances under which his services were dispensed with, and would be the subject of future consideration. |
