Shapurji Dorabji SAKLATVALA: Indian/British. A fervent advocate for Indian workers and an active defender of workers' rights generally, SAKLATVALA was a co-founder of the Workers' Welfare League. He was elected Labour MP for Battersea in 1922. In 1926 the constituency was disaffiliated from the Labour Party and SAKLATVALA himself became an avowed Communist
