Description

The documents relate principally to contracts, explosives, inventions and munitions inspection. Most of them were created in the Ministry but some had originated in the War Office, being transferred to the Ministry in 1915 or later with the functions and responsibilities to which they refer.

The files have been listed in the order established by the War Office although there are several separated groups of files in the present arrangement which are closely related.
