Description

Entry books of reports made to the Admiralty and (to 1832) to the Navy Board by the Solicitor to the Admiralty.

The records arise from a wide range of legal questions referred to the solicitor for report relating to such matters as contracts, criminal prosecutions, inventions, parliamentary bills, purchase of land for dockyards, coastguard stations, etc, and ship collision claims.
