Unregistered papers of the Admiralty Solicitor comprising four main subjects: Law officers' opinions for the period 1841-1867 on claims for salvage, damage, etc.Prize, blockade and salvage cases during 1855-1866, particularly those concerning the Crimean War.Cases involving Vice Admiralty Courts, 1855-1864.Coast Guard Stations, 1858-1867: leases of land and plans.

TS 45/1-249 were formerly classified as TS 32/132-380 until their transfer in September 1983.

Arrangement

Subjects involving litigation are included in the early part of the series (TS 45/1-123).
