Description | This is the first series of title deeds of the Commissioners of Works, together with contracts for works and subsequent conveyances and leases by the Commissioners of surplus property which they had acquired. The records in this series relate mainly to the Royal Courts of Justice and to Metropolitan improvements. They also contain deeds of guardianship of ancient monuments and historic buildings, and deeds relating to Ministry of Pensions hospitals and the Duke of York's School, Dover. |
