Description

This series contains plans and drawings relating to various buildings, property and improvements outside the main areas of responsibility of the Office of Works and its successors.

The buildings and areas covered include: barracks, bridges, Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum, Brompton and other cemeteries; crown property; docks and dockyards including the Port of London; engineering and sanitation works; a proposed London railway station; legal buildings; the Menai Bridge; prisons; the River Thames and the Embankment; the City of London, including St Paul's Cathedral; the City of Westminster, including Victoria Street, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Bridge and Parliament Square; and Whippingham Church, Isle of Wight.
