Administrative/ biographical background | The Defence Geographic Centre was established as a business unit within the Defence Geographic and Imagery Intelligence Agency (DGIA), which was formed in 2000. By 2020 the DGIA had been reorganised on four occasions and is presently the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence of which the DGC forms the Foundation Geospatial-Intelligence pillar (NCGI-F) alongside Analysis (NCGI-A), Technology (NCGI-T) and field deployable force elements (NCGI-D). |
