Custodial history | Shakespeare's will was for a long time on display at the Principal Probate Registry, Somerset House, London, for the public to see for the price of 1 shilling. For this the three pages of the will were each individually framed and, when not on display, the three frames would have been kept housed in this purpose-built wooden box. The box and display frames were added to this series in February 2016. |
