British Transport Commission: Acquired Road Service Companies

These are minutes, registers of members, share ledgers, etc. of road haulage companies nationalized under the Transport Act 1947 or acquired subsequently by the British Transport Commission and its subsidiaries or taken over or acquired by the Transport Holding Company as its successor under the Transport Act 1962. The records, which are mainly twentieth century, span the operations of the companies concerned under both private and public ownership.
