| Description | Prior to 1876 these records relate to proceedings in the Home and Norfolk Circuits and include posteas from 1694 and orders etc. at nisi prius from 1790. The series also includes papers of the lords commissioners of appeal in prize causes, 1798 to 1799; and documents concerning appeal cases taken to the House of Lords, 1824 to 1855. The series includes Home Circuit indictment files otherwise in ASSI 35. |
| Arrangement | It is apparent that original groupings have been destroyed, since related documents are to be found scattered through a number of pieces. The contents of many of the boxes, especially those containing correspondence and/or trial exhibits, are highly disordered. |
