Description | Richmond, Sixth Duke of, Dec'd: Attorney General v. Duke of Richmond and Others. Whether on the death of the Sixth Duke in 1903, estate duty became payable on the principal value of the property to which he was entitled, or whether the present Duke is liable only in respect of his interest as the Duke's successor (which interest was limited by certain Acts of Parliament) valued for the purposes of Succession Duty. Court declared that the full estate duty was to be paid. |
