Description

In 1649 trustees were appointed by Parliament to sell the estates previously belonging to Charles I, Queen Henrietta Maria and Prince Charles. These were surveyed and, on the basis of this information, detailed particulars of the properties were drawn up.

Also included in the series are certificates of rates, which provide the names of the purchasers, the price to be paid, and details of the payments to be made; certificates by the contractors authorising the trustees to convey the properties to named purchasers; and certificates by the deputy registrar that the conveyance has been completed and registered.
