| Description | This series comprises Act books and minutes or drafts of Acts concerning the High Court of Appeals for Prizes. The Act books record the daily business of the court and contain brief formal entries of the proceedings in each case. They cover the years 1689 to 1713, and are indexed. The minutes or drafts of Acts are the rough minutes taken during the proceedings by the court officials and later engrossed into the Act books. They cover 1689 to 1814, and are unbound. It appears that the minutes do not contain all the information later engrossed in the Act books. |
