Draft letter. Admiralty see no objection to appointing Samuel Hood of Bridport as an Inspector of the canvas, supplied for naval use, at a salary of £750 pa. From his establishment he is to give up his business interest in manufacturing and dealing in canvas, live in or near London and receive no traveling expenses unless involving distant journeys. Do not feel authorized to enter into suggested pension provision as this would depend on the circumstances under which his services were dispensed with, and would be the subject of future consideration.

Copy letter from J Dunsier, Bermuda Yard to R A Nelson. Gives the terms agreed for house rent for the Master Shipwright the previous May. This has not been paid to him, as the Commander-in-Chief had directed it to be fitted up for the reception of the Master Shipwright as a dwelling house. He wrote from Halifax to Messrs Goodrich & Co to take a house for me, in June 1805, with detached rooms for an office, for a period of 3 years. The rent will double from the 1st June. Ask for directions and approval for charging the house and office rent to 31st Dec 1807.. Enclosure
